Andrew spent a very pleasurable year flying this PA31-350 as a communications aircraft/air taxi for a large freight concern. On call day and night, he’s be summoned to fly to all types of airports throughout Europe and Scandinavia at short notice. These ranged from small out of the way places up to international airports such as Charles de Gaulle. When safe to do so, Andrew experimented with the machine and found it was possible to control the machine’s flight path using the throttles alone, with no pilot input to the flight controls at all! Of all the types of aircraft he has flown, this piston twin was his favourite.

Airline Flying
Andrew has also flown the BAe146 airliner. He’s seen here enjoying a flight on a sunny day.
